Tereza Eager (née Basařová) is a Czech artist and illustrator currently based in Prague. She started her art education at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where she frequented figural drawing and painting courses. She also attended a course of illustration at Scholastika Prague. In 2018, Tereza graduated from Enmore Design Centre in Sydney, Australia, with a Diploma of Graphic Design – Illustration. She currently works as a freelance artist, mainly focusing on book illustration. When illustrating, Tereza uses various digital techniques to achieve a genuine look while remaining efficient and flexible. Her main focus is on the line work and the contrast between the light and the dark while keeping the colour palette limited. She gravitates towards a darker and flowing aesthetic, aiming to capture our inner and outer reality by searching for what’s both universal and intimate.
